It might come as no surprise to anyone who’s tried to get an appointment at a B.C. walk-in clinic on a typical morning, but a medical mapping service says the province faced the longest wait times in Canada last year.

And the vice-president of operations for Medimap says the situation is only getting worse. Teddy Wickland says the 2021 report showed average wait times in B.C. at 58 minutes. Early data in 2022 shows those numbers more in the 70- to 75-minute range.
