OUR SERVICES MEDSCHECK Are you taking multiple medications? Our pharmacist will review your medication to ensure that you are safe and getting the most out of your medication. PRESCRIPTION TRANSFERS Transferring your prescriptions to us is quick and easy. Fill out a transfer request online to have your prescriptions transferred from your last pharmacy. Use the "Select-a-Service" drop-down. PRESCRIPTION REFILLS Submit your refill request online to easily order your prescription refills. Use the "Select-a-Service" drop-down. PRESCRIPTION RENEWALS Have a pharmacist renew a prescription or provide you with a refill extension if deemed appropriate, to help you avoid any interruptions VACCINATIONS & IMMUNIZATIONS Our injection-certified pharmacists can administer most immunizations, travel vaccinations and certain medications. Choose "Ask-a-Pharmacist" from drop-down above SHARPS DISPOSAL PROGRAM Safe disposal of syringes, pen needles, lancets, insulin pump infusion supplies, and test strips * pharmacy-supplied container, no fee MEDICATIONS RETURN PROGRAM Safe disposal of expired or unused medications, creams, and inhalers MINOR AILMENTS As of January 1, 2023, as per regulations your Harrowsmith Pharmacy pharmacist will be authorized and ready to prescribe medications for 13 minor ailments that include: Allergic rhinitis Candidal stomatitis (oral thrush) Conjunctivitis (bacterial, allergic and viral) Dermatitis (atopic, eczema, allergic and contact) Dysmenorrhea Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) Hemorrhoids Herpes labialis (cold sores) Impetigo Insect bites and urticaria (hives) Tick bites, post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent Lyme disease Musculoskeletal sprains and strains Urinary tract infections (uncomplicated) Dispensing fee plus medication costs * prescribed medications may be covered by OHIP
