The Oshawa Clinic provides acute care on a walk-in basis. The Urgent Care Clinic is not intended to provide emergency medical services but is equipped and ready to handle emergency situations in the event that such care is needed. The department reduces the non-acute use of emergency services provided by the hospital emergency departments. Your family doctor is a member of a Family Health Organization and for patients who are registered as members of the Family Health Organization, there is an after-hours phone service available. Patients will receive personalized advice from an Ontario Registered nurse and patients can access this service after 8 p.m. weekdays and after 5 p.m. weekends by calling 1-866-553-7205. In order to ensure safe and high quality care for our patients, we reserve the right to cut off additional patient registration for the Urgent Care Clinic when patient volume exceeds the Centre’s capacity.
