I recently switched pills and my period has not started. Is this normal?

It is normal for your period to be irregular when switching to a new birth control pill. Your body needs time to adjust to the different hormones in the new pill. This can cause changes in your menstrual cycle, such as heavier or lighter bleeding or a delay in your period. If this continues for more than 4 months and is bothersome, you may want to speak to a healthcare provider about potentially switching to a different contraceptive. If you have missed pills and had unprotected sex, it is important to consult a healthcare provider to assess the risk of pregnancy.
