My 7-month-old baby is teething, can I give him children's Advil? If so, how much? He weighs around 22lbs.

Yes, you can give Advil or Motrin to your 7-month-old baby for teething pain. The recommended dose based on their weight is 2.5 ml of infant formula (40 mg/ml). These medications are more effective for dental pain compared to Tylenol, providing relief for 6-8 hours instead of 4-6 hours. Remember that infant formulations are more concentrated to minimize the amount of liquid given, while formulations for children 2 years and older are less concentrated to reduce bitterness and require a larger volume to be administered. You can give either medication even if the bottle does not specify a dosage based on weight.
