Why doesn't Oxycodone give me as much relief as Dilaudid (hydromorphone)?

I recommend that you speak to your pharmacist to understand why your doctor changed your medication from Dilaudid to oxycodone. Be aware that these two drugs do not act in the same way, which may explain why you are not experiencing the same relief. Do not take two oxycodone, as it could be dangerous. Taking your painkillers (oxycodone, Tylenol and Naproxen) at the same time as your other medications is not serious, however, you should take esomeprazole at least 30 minutes before the others to allow it to work better in your stomach.
