Psychologist
Amanda is the owner of Equinox Therapeutic. She has her MA in Counselling Psychology with a specialization in Equine-Assisted Mental Health, is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, and is a member in good standing of the Psychologists Association of Alberta. She focuses on substance abuse, trauma therapy, self-harming behaviors, and anxiety/depression counselling. She has specialized training in treating complex trauma and uses a variety of modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioual Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Structural Dissociation Theory, Animal-Assisted Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

Carlisle is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Her practice currently focuses on various primary concerns including complex trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. Carlisle has experience working with many populations including queer and LGBTQ2S+ identifying humans. She takes a person-centered approach (often incorporating humour), and draws from dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), narrative therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Carlisle is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and she has also incorporated equine assisted therapy and nature assisted therapy into her practice.

Cozy is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She doesn’t believe that “one size fits all", and so follows an eclectic approach to therapy. In her approach, she draws inspiration from Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral, and Gestalt perspective with the goal of collaboratively creating a course of therapy that is personally tailored to the client’s needs. Cozy is focused on creating a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients. She stresses on the importance of creating a strong therapeutic rapport with her clients.
