My name is __Tara McCaffery__, and I am currently the Mental Health and Addictions Supervisor at Nanaimo Correctional Centre in addition to my private practice work. My background is in Clinical Counselling, and I am registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors. I completed my BA in Psychology at UVIC and an MA in Counselling Psychology at Athabasca University. Since I began my counselling practice, I have continued my education and become certified in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional affiliated with the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I believe in taking a holistic, client centered, and individualized approach.

**Jeevan Atwal** is a mental health counsellor who is in the final stage of completing her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. Jeevan works from a holistic, person-centered approach and aims to provide a judgment-free environment so that her clients can feel comfortable and safe. In addition, as a first-generation Canadian who grew up in a South-Asian family, Jeevan understands the importance of providing counselling through a culturally-informed lens. Through her practice, Jeevan’s personal and professional experience has helped her build strong therapeutic relationships, which have allowed her to work in collaboration with her clients to help them understand themselves and their challenges, in order to identify and achieve their go
