Optometrist
Dr. Samantha Halvorsen was raised in Camrose, Alberta and has called Calgary home since 2016. She completed a Bachelor of Science in biology and history at the University of Alberta Augustana followed by her Doctor of Optometry at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. During her training, she gained diverse experiences at clinical sites throughout Puerto Rico, Alberta, and at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Walla Walla, Washington. Dr. Halvorsen is proud to provide care for the whole family, with special interests in geriatric populations and glaucoma management. When not in clinic, you can often find her hiking, cross-country skiing, or spending time with her husband Alex and dog Loki.

Dr. Claudia Amaniampong is a native of Calgary. She first attended the University of Calgary, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree before going on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. When she is not in the office seeing patients, she enjoys trying new restaurants and spending time with family and friends.
She is dedicated to providing patients with a relaxed, educational and fun Optometric experience!

Dr. Roslyn Scalise joined IRIS in 2015 after graduating from New England College of Optometry. She was born and raised in Calgary, and returned here after Optometry school to build her practice and start her family. Dr. Scalise helps patients of all ages to enhance vision and manage ocular health; she also has a particular interest in contact lenses and pediatrics. She loves her career, but also loves spending time with her family, travelling and trying new restaurants
