Dr. Shafiq Jiwani spent his early years in Brantford, ON. And moved to Vancouver B.C. in 1981. He joined IRIS in 2004 and is a proud partner of the Tsawwassen clinic. He has been providing the community with outstanding eye care for over 20 years in addition to being involved in many charity events every year. He is especially interested in Ocular Disease Management, Childhood Amblyopia Management and Dry Eye Disease. Dr. Jiwani also dedicates his time to teaching, supervising and mentoring students of Optometry as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor through Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Jiwani enjoys traveling, music, volunteering, and spending quality time with his family.
He is especially interested in Ocular Disease Management, Childhood Amblyopia Management and Dry Eye Disease.

Throughout her clinical education, Dr. Rakhra has been exposed to and developed a passion for managing dry eye disease, pediatrics and ocular disease in various clinical settings in the USA and Canada. She completed internships in ocular disease at the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA, where she was trained in ocular disease and geriatrics. Followed by an internship at an optometry and ophthalmology co-management site in Southern California working with retina, cornea, oculoplastic, refractive and glaucoma specialists.
