IRIS Tsawwassen

Dr. Shafiq Jiwani spent his early years in Brantford, ON. And moved to Vancouver B.C. in 1981. He joined IRIS in 2004 and is a proud partner of the Tsawwassen clinic. He has been providing the community with outstanding eye care for over 20 years in addition to being involved in many charity events every year. He is especially interested in Ocular Disease Management, Childhood Amblyopia Management and Dry Eye Disease. Dr. Jiwani also dedicates his time to teaching, supervising and mentoring students of Optometry as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor through Pacific University College of Optometry. Dr. Jiwani enjoys traveling, music, volunteering, and spending quality time with his family. 

Dr. Daniel Davies, a native of Southern Alberta, assumed the practice of Dr. Vicki Lum in Tsawwassen, in 1994. Ten years later he merged his practice with IRIS and became a proud partner of the Tsawwassen location. Dr. Davies is an active member of the community both sponsoring and participating in many charity events. He has the most outstanding loyalty with his patients who have trusted him with their eye care needs for almost 30 years! His specialties include fitting specialty contact lenses and orthoK as well as Dry Eye management. Dr. Davies enjoys music, gardening, sailing, and horseback riding his Tennessee Walking horses Goldie and Dal. 

Dr. Desiree Lui graduated from The State University of New York, State College of Optometry, a school that includes one of North America’s largest outpatient eye and vision care facilities — The Optometric Center of New York. She performed her residency at this clinic and at Lighthouse International, the leading non-profit organization dedicated to preserving vision. Dr. Lui completed a combined Optometry-Masters Degree with honours, before returning to her hometown of Vancouver. In 2008, She joined IRIS where she shares commitment to outstanding patient care. Studying in New York was Dr. Lui’s first time living abroad and she has since made travel her number one hobby. She has visited China, Japan, Paris, Florida, Chicago and Hawaii.
