After moving to Canada in 2011, I have been working in different pharmacy environments. I am Injection Certified and have APA (Additional Prescribing Authority), which enables me to assess and prescribe for minor ailments such as UTI, yeast infection, cold sores, allergies, etc. I can prescribe and inject Travel vaccines. I can assess and provide you with Lab Requisitions and Renew Your Medications if necessary. I do onsite compounding, which is cost and time saving. Every day is senior day at my pharmacy where you all get 10% off of pharmacy items (excluding Prescription medication)." Inspiration I was working for corporate pharmacies before and could see them pushing us to focus on volume rather than quality of service. I was unable to practice my profession at my full capacity and I saw the opportunity to take my profession to next level.
