Are plant-based milks (oat, soy, almond, etc.) contraindicated like dairy products when taking antibiotics?

The interaction between certain antibiotics and dairy products is related to the high calcium content in dairy. Any product rich in calcium may pose a similar issue. If a plant-based milk is enriched with calcium, it is possible to consume it during antibiotic treatment, but make sure not to ingest both products at the same time. It is recommended to separate the intake of antibiotics and milk by at least 4 hours. Therefore, you could take your antibiotic at breakfast and dinner, and have any form of milk (plant-based or not) at lunch. Another option is to take your antibiotic with a snack without milk in the evening, allowing you to eat or drink whatever you like for breakfast or dinner.
