"Guarana and breastfeeding"

It is important to understand that there is limited scientific data on the use of natural health products during pregnancy and breastfeeding. While it is not ethical to conduct trials on pregnant or breastfeeding women, products like guarana are generally considered safe during breastfeeding as long as the daily caffeine limit is not exceeded (maximum 300 mg from all sources). Energy drinks like GURU containing ingredients like ginseng and echinacea also appear to be safe in moderation. It is important to monitor your child for any changes in behavior, such as difficulty sleeping, and stop using the products if needed.
