How do you manage the interaction between Naproxen and Truvada used in PrEP?

When Naproxen and Truvada are used together, there is an increased risk of kidney toxicity or damage. However, it has been found that using a small amount of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) is compatible with Truvada, especially in young patients at low risk for dehydration and without underlying kidney problems. It is advisable to consult with the doctor who prescribed Truvada to possibly adjust the antiviral medications in order to reduce the risk of interaction.
