Thank you for the quick response. The wound is located near the heel and the pain, redness, and swelling have not decreased, but have not gotten any worse.

In most cases, the symptoms should improve after 4 days of treatment with the prescribed antibiotics. I recommend that you wait another 24-48 hours before consulting a doctor again. You can also trace the outline of the swelling/redness with a pen to better assess the evolution of your symptoms. The lack of improvement may indicate that it is not an infection.
