I suffered a concussion last October and am still off work. My doctor prescribed Elavil (amytriptyline) 20mg, increased to 30mg, for recurrent headaches. Is it normal that I still have a headache? Would another medication be better?

It is possible that Elavil may not provide complete relief for your post-concussion headaches. I suggest discussing with your pharmacist or physician to explore other treatment options that may be more suitable for your specific type of pain.
