My 7-month-old baby is constipated.

It is recommended to encourage your baby to drink, as this can help soften their stools. If this is not enough, a baby of that age could be given PEG 3350, also known as Lax A Day or Restoralax. This is a tasteless powder that can be diluted in a small amount of any liquid. The medication should be given based on your baby's weight, so it is best to consult with a pharmacist to determine the correct dose. Lax-A-Day is typically given once a day at any time. It works relatively quickly but can be given daily until the stool becomes sufficiently soft. The dose of Lax-A-Day is 1mg of powder per kg of the baby's weight, diluted in a small amount of any liquid.
