What is the difference between ibuprofen (Advil) and acetaminophen (Tylenol), and can one be taken after the other if the minimum time between them is respected?

Ibuprofen (Advil) and Acetaminophen (Tylenol) work differently to relieve pain. Taking them together for a short period of time should not cause any problems. However, it is always wise to check with your pharmacist to ensure that taking these medications is safe based on any other medications you are taking or your medical condition.
