What is the reaction that we make when we are allergic to iodine?

If you have never taken an exam where an iodinated contrast agent is administered, it is impossible for you to know if you are allergic. However, reactions are usually mild and can include redness, itching and bumps. These reactions are usually temporary and pass on their own. In rare cases, reactions can be more severe, but this is very rare. Have a nice day.
