The following groups should receive a second booster dose of the COVID vaccine (a fourth dose): individuals living in long-term care facilities, retirement homes, or other environments with a high proportion of elderly and vulnerable individuals; individuals aged 80 and older living in the community; immunocompromised individuals aged 12 and older; and highly vulnerable individuals living in isolated and remote communities. A minimum interval of 3 months should be respected between the first and second booster doses. Currently, any individual aged 18 and older can receive a second booster dose if they desire.
