Why does Oxycodone not relieve me as much as Dilaudid (hydromorphone)?

It is possible that the oxycodone is not providing as much pain relief as the Dilaudid because these two medications work differently. It is not recommended to take two oxycodone pills at the same time as it could be dangerous. When it comes to taking your analgesic medications with your other regular medications, it is generally okay to do so. Just make sure to take the esomeprazole at least 30 minutes before the other medications to allow it to work better in your stomach.
