Can I take Neocitran with citalopram?

It is not recommended to take Neocitran with citalopram because Neocitran may contain a decongestant that can increase anxiety and insomnia. Instead, it is suggested to use nasal hygiene products such as saline solutions like Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse for congestion. These can be used as often as needed throughout the day and at least 30 minutes before going to bed. Keeping the nasal passages clear can help reduce the drainage into the throat that often leads to coughing. It is also recommended to drink plenty of fluids, whether hot or cold, to stay hydrated.
