There are creams available to help soothe and heal hand, foot, and mouth disease. Creams without fragrance such as Base Glaxal, Cerave, Cutibase, and Aveeno (fragrance-free formulation) can help alleviate irritation and itching. It is recommended to apply the cream as often as needed throughout the day. Using a fragrance-free soap like Dove and avoiding using any soap on the face can also help. After bathing, gently pat the skin dry to leave a thin layer of moisture and apply a moisturizer within 5 minutes of getting out of the bath.
