Hello Mrs., It is common for patients to experience nausea the day after taking methotrexate. Fortunately, there are solutions. Some of our patients take part of their dose orally and the other in injectable form. Other patients take their entire dose orally, but split into two separate doses. You can also change the day of the week when you take your methotrexate dose to reduce side effects. Most of our patients prefer Fridays. I hope I have answered your question.
